What is Tableau?
Tableau is a dynamic, interactive reporting, business intelligence, data visualization software tool produced by Tableau Software. This type of software is used primarily for analysis, prediction and forecasting through the use of interactive visualization via charts, graphs, and other analytic tools - allowing a larger audience to find answers in data. Tableau has been identified as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms.
In 2014, the University recognized the growing interest and use of Tableau as a core data visualization tool across the University.
